All four of the brands of paper that we sell work well in plain paper copiers. You can see full descriptions below or consult our paper comparison page. Customers who purchase these papers include hikers, hunters, firefighters, greenhouses, contractors, police departments, commercial fishermen, field scientists and military organizations. Before using any waterproof paper for an important project we always recommend testing. It is important to determine if your paper, printer, ink/toner and writing implement will perform well in the environment of intended use.
Rite in the Rain Paper
Rite in the Rain is an all-weather copier paper that works great in a laser printer or plain paper copier. Use it when you need multiple copies of forms, maps and signs for outdoor use.
It is the most economical paper that we sell. It costs 80% less per sheet than DuraCopy and 70% less per sheet than 8 mil iGage Weatherproof. The trade-off is that it is not tear-resistant and does not perform as well against moisture as a plastic sheet. However, it is perfect for light-duty use.
Rite in the Rain is the perfect choice for most outdoor note-taking situations. You can write on it with a standard pen or use a pen with waterproof ink. Pencils with a broad hard lead also write well on this paper. Our mechanical pencil is perfect for this paper. It never needs sharpening and erases cleanly. This paper has the best performance when writing with a pencil of all the papers that we sell.
It is also a great choice for outdoor note-taking situations - especially when combined with waterproof pens. Rite in the Rain is a coated paper that is printable on both sides. Works great for topographic maps. Also available in green and tan colors.
Works in plain paper copiers and laser printers. This is the paper to use if you like to take notes with a pencil.

We tell customers that "It works anywhere you do!" because PuffinPaper remains pliable and writeable at temperatures from -70°C / -94°F to 180°C / 356°F. Temperature will probably force your body or your pen to stop working before PuffinPaper stops performing.
Use PuffinPaper to print the forms, maps, charts, signs, and documents that you need to use outdoors. You can write on PuffinPaper with a standard ballpoint pen. For best results use a pen with waterproof ink.
Works in plain paper copiers, laser printers and inkjet printers. Does not accept pencil. Not for use in inkjet printers that apply water-soluble or dye-based inks.

Dura Copy Paper - Waterproof
DuraCopy is a waterproof paper for extreme use. If you spend a lot of time working in the field, don't take chances with your important notes. Use the best - DuraCopy.
DuraCopy works great in your laser printer or plain paper copier. Use it when you need multiple copies of forms, maps and signs for outdoor use. It is a synthetic, heat-resistant, tear-resistant, puncture-resistant and foldable paper designed for use in extreme conditions. Printable on both sides!
DuraCopy can be written on with either pencil or pen. The best-performing pencils have a broad, hard lead. We offer a mechanical pencil with a wide, 1.1 millimeter lead (a bit wider than an office pencil), and a hard HB lead (like what you learned to write with in grade school).
